Treatment by a chiropractic doctor is not covered by OHIP, however most extended health care plans (Third Party Insurance Plans) do cover the cost of your visits. Check at your workplace to find out whether your benefits package includes naturopathic medicine.

The Workers' Compensation Act gives workers the right to choose chiropractic care. During the management of a case, there may be referral either way between doctors of chiropractic (DC) and medical doctors (MD). Chiropractors provide all reports and certificates on the same basis as medical doctors.
