FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Chiropractic?
A system of therapies based upon the theory that disease
is caused by abnormal function of the nervous system. It
attempts to restore normal function by manipulation and
treatment of the structures of the body, especially those
of the spinal column.
Chiropractors focus on restoring proper spinal biomechanics,
thereby improving nervous system function. Starting with
a thorough case history, to get a complete background on
past health, your Chiropractor can get an understanding
of your current state of health.
From there, a discussion of the problem with you is followed
by a thorough orthopaedic, neurological, and chiropractic
examination. X-rays may also be taken to uncover structural
and functional problems associated with the spinal column
or extremities. From here, your Chiropractor will recommend
the best course of action for your individual condition.
If chiropractic adjustments are deemed necessary, progress
is monitored with periodic examinations and follow-up reports.
