What can I expect at a massage therapy visit?

Expect an assessment at the first visit for the therapist to determine what areas of the body to focus on. You will be asked for a confidential medical history which will help your therapist form the treatment plan including precautions and doctor recommendation.

You will be asked to undress to the extent to which you are comfortable. Massage therapists can work through clothing or on the skin with massage lotion.During treatment, only the areas of the body being worked on will be undraped. The therapist will leave the room while you undress and cover yourself on the table.The massage therapist will work with you throughout the treatment to best meet your needs.
